The American Bankers Association Foundation (ABA) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) recently released an infographic to help consumers recognize and understand fake check scams. This form of fraud often involves a scammer sending a bad check to a victim and then asking for some of the funds to be returned. After the money is sent back, the scammer’s original check bounces and the victim is left to pay the bank.
We've shared the infographic below, from the original source at the ABA's website.
